The detector uses natural diffusion into electrochemical sensors with it's state of the art electronics and software to give reliable and repeatable readings. The casing is a rubber based special high strength material giving it an IP67 rating making it anti-slip, completely dust proof and water proof up to 1 meter. The sensor has inbuilt data logging which will timestamp the gas level readings and alarms. This data can be downloaded to a PC using the SGT IR Link for analysis. The gas detector can be operated continuously for two years without replacement and then can be safely disposed of.
Poisoning: Senko sensors are designed to operate in a wide range of harsh environments and conditions. However, it is important that exposure to high concentrations of solvent vapours is avoided, both during storage and operation.
Fully Technically Supported by Gas Detection Australia
Confined Space Gas Monitors
Confined spaces have a high risk of poisonous gases and man-down incidents caused by oxygen depletion. Responders or workers are required to be protected by ongoing, continuous atmospheric monitoring. SENKO Gas Detection Australia's portable gas detectors are built to protect you and your staff complying with Australia regulations. With IP 67 Waterproof and IEC Ex Approved Explosion proof casing, data logging, simple set up and calibration. The SENKO Gas Detection Australia Line of Portables are ready to go when you are.
Hazardous Areas (IEC Ex Certified)
IEC Ex approved gas detectors and sensors for use in Zone 1 and Zone 2 areas within Australia for both Toxic and Flammable gases.
Hazardous Areas are areas in which an explosive gas atmosphere is or may be expected to be present, in quantities such as to require special precautions for the construction installation and use of equipment construction, installation and use of equipment. Hazardous areas are classified into 3 zones based upon the frequency of the occurrence and duration of an explosive gas atmosphere, as follows:
As per IEC60079-10-1 and AS/NZS 60079.29.2:2016
Lift Shaft Wells
Oxygen sensors are often placed in lift shaft wells to measure the atmosphere prior to entry. Problems arise due to the pressure changes in the left shaft well due to the air movements associated with the lift.resulting in false alarms . There is also an issue associated with safe work permits for access into the lift shaft area when the oxygen sensor requires calibration or replacement. The GDA 4500 system uses a vacuum pump (dc brushless) , a flow fail mechanism and a sensor to extract the gas via a 6mm ID tubing. The Nylon tube is fitted with a filter element to provide dust filtering and prevent mycological build up in the sampling line.

* Important Note: Acid gases such as CO₂ and SO₂ will be absorbed by the electrolyte and tend to increase the flux of oxygen to the electrode. This gives an enhanced oxygen signal of approximately 0.3% of signal per 1% CO₂. SENKO oxygen sensors are not suitable for continuous operation in concentrations of CO₂ above 25%.
