Hazardous areas are spaces where explosive gas atmospheres may occur. These areas are classified into three zones based on the frequency and duration of gas presence:
- Zone 0: Explosive gas is present continuously or frequently.
- Zone 1: Explosive gas is likely to occur occasionally during normal operation.
- Zone 2: Explosive gas is unlikely to occur but may persist for a short time if it does.
Gas Detection Australia offers Gastron and Senko gas detectors approved for use in Zone 1 and 2 areas within Australia. These detectors ensure safety in potentially hazardous environments by providing reliable gas detection for both toxic and flammable gases.
