The GDA 2628 Oxygen gas sensor is a further enhancement of the GDA 2528 Oxygen gas sensor that allows AC and DC operation. It has an electrochemical gas sensing unit which is temperature compensated and easily replaceable.

The gas sensor element is on a pluggable lead to allow ease of replacement. The carbon monoxide gas sensor electronics are housed in a robust ABS sun tolerant plastic enclosure rated IP56; the sensor head and its electronics are housed in a metal enclosure giving it excellent RFI and EMC compatibility. The sensor head is fitted with a splash proof cover giving an IP53 rating. Provides the option of 4-20 mA, 0-10 V, and 0-5 V operation. The additional voltage o/p can be used on BMS systems that use voltage inputs as opposed to current input
Important Note: Acid gases such as CO₂ and SO₂ will be absorbed by the electrolyte and tend to increase the flux of oxygen to the electrode. This gives an enhanced oxygen signal of approximately 0.3% of signal per 1% CO₂. GDA oxygen sensors are not suitable for continuous operation in concentrations of CO₂ above 25%.
Interference: Long lines of voltage signal cables may act as an antenna causing interference and noise leading to false readings and reduced accuracy.
