The GDA 2400 control unit caters for up to 8 GDA Sensors. The controller selects the highest reading from the sensors and displays the highest reading and is used when all the gas sensors are the same type.  It is particularly useful in perimeter monitoring and car park ventilation control.

The GDA 2400 includes 3x programmable alarm relays, an independent fault relay and 3x analog outputs which can be configured as 4-20 mA or 0-20 mA (0-5 V or 0-10 V with resistor). Additionally the controller has an isolated RS485 O/P which can be configured to drive Modbus or interface with up to 31x M2001 mimic panels. All configurations are carried out via the push buttons located on the rear of the control board.

Car Park Gas Monitoring Systems

The Gas Detection Australia car park gas detection system comprises of 1 up to 16 GDA 2525 carbon monoxide car park gas detectors per zone or level. The car park gas concentration signals are sent from the car park gas detector and the highest level from all the car park gas detectors are displayed locally on the control unit.  The latest regulations (AS1668.2-2012) call for variable extraction control and minimum flow rates. Gas Detection Australia car park system's allows variable-speed drive (VSD) control  that will meet this requirement of the australian car park gas detection standards. The car park carbon monoxide sensors (GDA 2525) are designed to be unobtrusive, simple to install and calibrate. Cryogenic Room Gas Detection

Refrigerant Plant Room Monitoring

Refrigerant gases are used to provide a means of cooling the evaporators in freezers and air conditioning for plant rooms and chiller plants. Historically CFC refrigerant gases such as R11, R12 and R22 have been used. CFC’s are ozone depleting gases and are now being phased out and replaced by ozone friendly gases such as R134a, R407 and R410a.

Why is there a need to detect them?

  • All these gases are toxic at relatively low levels. Prolonged exposure to these gases is hazardous and results in serious health risks. GDA sensors can detect these gases at very low levels, in order to prevent this hazard becoming a danger to life.
  • Air conditioning systems and chillers that are leaking their refrigerant gases are not performing to maximum efficiency. The major use of refrigerant gases is in the re charging of these systems. If leaks are detected early the problem can be alleviated much quicker, saving costs on replacement gas, co maintenance and protecting the environment.
  • Gas detection at low levels (part per million) will give an early warning of leakage, therefore safeguarding life and maintaining the efficiency of the plant.

Battery Room Monitoring

The SI-100C and a range of associated Gas Detection Australia controllers can be used in battery room gas detection  to detect hydrogen in battery rooms and sound alarms. The battery room gas detection systems comprise of a hydrogen gas sensor SI-100C and a gas sensor control unit. The Gas Detection Australia control unit  GDA 4020 or GDA 4011 is situated external to the battery room to display the gas concentrations and the alarm status. M2001 : Flush Mount Mimic Panel

The M2001 is a low profile flush wall mounted mimic panel. These units are used on multi entry rooms so that users may view the gas levels and alarm status of each entry point for entering the room, used in conjunction with the GDA 4020GDA 2400 or GDA 4500 control unit.

MS001 : Flush Mount Mute Switch

The MS001 uses one of the alarm relays from a GDA gas detection controller to drive the AVR-20R/YM sounder & flasher. The sounder- flasher can be muted by incorporating the MS001 into the output switched 24 VDC from the control panel.

GDA 620 : Galvanic Isolator 1kV for 4-20 mA lines

This small potted Isolator is used for the protection of 4-20 mA signal lines against high voltage breakthrough and ground loops that give rise to noise problems. It is designed to be mounted inside or adjacent to control equipment. Cable Interface is via plug and socket.

AVR 20 : Alarm Flasher and Sounder

This sounder/flashers operates at 24VDC. The sounder can be permanently disabled so that unit acts as a flasher only. These units are designed for internal use. These are available in Red or Amber.
