Carbon dioxide (CO₂) is a colorless gas with a density about 60% higher than that of dry air. Carbon dioxide is odorless at normally encountered concentrations, however, at high concentrations, it has a sharp and acidic odor.
It is a versatile industrial material, used, for example, as an inert gas in welding and fire extinguishers, as a pressurizing gas in air guns and oil recovery, and as a supercritical fluid solvent in decaffeination of coffee and supercritical drying. It is added to drinking water and carbonated beverages including beer and sparkling wine to add effervescence. The frozen solid form of CO₂, known as dry ice is used as a refrigerant and as an abrasive in dry-ice blasting.

The GDA 4500 is designed to be used where sensors are placed in areas that are difficult to gain access such as pits and elevated areas.
Designed, manufactured and supported locally in Australia.
The GD 4508/16 is a 1 to 16 point gas sampling system for use in commercial buildings to control fresh air make up in rooms relative to external fresh air. Available for: Carbon Monoxide (CO), Oxygen (O₂) or Carbon Dioxide (CO2).
Designed, manufactured and supported locally in Australia.
Designed to be used where areas that are difficult to gain access due to distance or toxic environment. As well as to detect greater ranges of toxic gases using advanced Pyrolyzer technology converting electrochemically inactive gases to easily detected gases.
