The South Australian Mines Emergency Response Competition 2026 recently took place at the MFS Angle Park Training Centre, Angle Park, SA (Adelaide), and was coordinated by a dedicated team of volunteers from the association.

The competition provides practical, scenario-based training in Mine Rescue Operations, allowing emergency response teams to test and demonstrate their capabilities across a range of disciplines.

Gas Detection Australia and Industrial Scientific are proud to be among the sponsors of this event, supporting SAMERC’s ongoing commitment to promoting emergency response and rescue within the South Australian resources sector and community, while helping raise awareness of gas detection and worker safety.

We would also like to congratulate the teams that won this year’s competition and thank the professionals and representatives from various industries who visited GDA’s booth.
